It was opened in 1988 and was primarily used as the home arena for the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA and the Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball teams of Marquette University. It was named after BMO Harris Bank, which is a banking division of the Bank of Montreal. The arena had a seating capacity of 18,600 for basketball games and 16,300 for ice hockey games. In addition to sporting events, it also hosted concerts, circuses, and other events. The arena was closed in 2018 and was replaced by the Fiserv Forum as the home of the Milwaukee Bucks.
